![]() ![]() I used the tactic against a Celt too, but it was easy by then, since I had already figured out how to beat Berserkers, and Celtic cavalry is a complete joke. ![]() By the time that the other two units of Berserkers (who has lost berserk by then) got to my army, they were met by a storm of darts and surrounded by my infantry and cavalry, then slaughtered before they could even go into a berserk fury.īasically, I found that cavalry to the back is VERY disagreeable to Berserkers. I then cycled and did it to the other 2 Berserkers attacking my legion. So I ran them around the Berserkers and evaded them, allowing my heavy cavalry to get right behind the Berserkers that were tearing my legion apart and got the 3 units to charge right into their backsides, pretty much anniahlating them. I decided that if I engaged berserk units head-on with my cavalry, I was going to to lose, no question about that. Some more Berserkers were going after my Plumbatarii (who had already routed the rest of his infantry) and were doing some considerable damage. I saw my cavalry's numbers drop pretty uglily and quickly, so I pulled them out. I continue to allow them to fight, then notice the Berserkers started going berserk. The Berserkers were fighting with the cavalry, but the cavalry routed. I was fighting Lombard Berserkers with my Equites Catafractii and Clibanarii after having dispatched the Lombard Cavalry. ![]() Berserkers NEED to be fought using cavalry, I just found out. ![]()
